Coffee Technica

Coffee Technica is a one-stop-shop of information posted on the Cirelli Coffee Website.  It provides coffee facts and information posted on the Cirelli Coffee website.  The content relates to anything from coffee history, cupping, machine maintenance and brewing.

The term “Coffee” comes from the Latin, Coffea, a member of the Rubiaceae family, including more than 500 genera and 6000 species of the tropical tree or shrub. All coffee is grown within 1000 miles of the equator, from the Tropic of Cancer, to the Tropic of Capricorn.

We are drinking about 2 billion cups per year making coffee the second biggest industry in the world, even bigger than tabaco and alcohol.

Coffee is actually a fruit!

There is a lot more to coffee than we think! Feedback or suggestions are welcomed.
