From Italian Roots to Australian Success
Born to Italian migrants, I'm Gianni Cirelli, and my earliest memories are infused with coffee culture. My father Frank would let me spoon the last drops of sweetened coffee from his 'tazza,' while my mother Tina created summer memories with her signature affogato – warm espresso poured over creamy vanilla ice cream. These cherished moments shaped not just my palate, but my vision for what coffee could be.
The Birth of Cirelli Coffee
In 2011, armed with a coffee roaster and an unwavering passion, I embarked on a journey to create something extraordinary. Through countless hours of research, visiting roasteries, and perfecting my craft, Cirelli Coffee Roasting Co. was born. By 2013, we had transformed a modest tin shed in Welland into a vibrant roasting house where customers could watch their coffee being roasted while enjoying fresh zeppole made by my mother – a true blend of tradition and craft.

Our packaging is designed to provide a distinct handmade imported feel, tracing its origins back to Italy.
The first three belnds were designed to acknowledges the world’s premier growing region from which Cirelli Coffee sources its beans, in the most beautiful way – passport stamps!! Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Kenya, Sumatra…It is as though each bag has travelled the globe.
Each bag is sealed with an Italian inspired insignia tamper seal dated with the year Cirelli Family migrated from Italy.
We are very selective from where we source our beans from. We work closely with them to bring you the finest selection of green coffee.
Our specialtyy beans are roasted on demand to provide the freshest roasted coffee to purchasers.
Each origin is roasted individually in small batches and then blended. We do this because each of the beans have their own characteristics to add balance, body and crema. Once they are roasted, they are cooled down, destonned and then blended. This is evident in bean colour variation. This means every bean is roasted at its individual optimum
