Our Organic Green Sencha Tea (Loose Leaf) is a high-quality green tea crafted for those who appreciate a bright, refreshing cup with delicate vegetal notes and a smooth finish. Because sencha is gently steamed rather than oxidised, it retains its natural green colour, fresh aroma and clean flavour profile.
Produced and packaged in South Australia by T BAR Tea Purveyors, this tea comes from a local supplier we have proudly supported since the early days of Cirelli Coffee Roasters. Today, we continue to supply their teas alongside our specialty coffee to cafés, offices and hospitality venues seeking a complete premium beverage solution.
Unlike tea bags, loose leaf sencha allows the leaves to fully unfurl during brewing. Consequently, the infusion develops greater complexity, a smoother mouthfeel and a more authentic green tea character. In addition, green tea naturally contains moderate caffeine, making it an excellent lighter alternative to coffee when customers want gentle energy without intensity.
This organic green tea is where it all began. It’s the orthodox original and stands up to the test of time across centuries and perhaps millennia. It tastes clean and crisp and sits harmoniously in your belly.
How to Brew
Boil fresh water to 80ºc.
Add 1 level tsp for a cup, or a heaped tsp for a pot. Infusion time: 2 – 4 min.
Remove leaves from water to ensure infusion remains smooth not bitter.
Re-infuse up to 3 times.
